The Wolf Creek diversion is located just inside the Malheur National Forest. Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife crew installed this project.
This project was a collaboration between the U.S. Forest Service, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife John Day Screen Shop, FCA, and the Van Drewsey Grazing Association.
The diverted water flows through a head gate, down the ditch a short distance to a two-section modular Farmers Screen unit. The screened water continues down the open ditch, while the cleaning water returns to Wolf Creek via a pipe. This screen has a maximum capacity of 4 CFS.
We’re a 501c3 nonprofit social enterprise. In partnership with rural communities, we are tirelessly in the pursuit of water management solutions that benefit both agriculture and environment.
