This Farmers Screen project addresses the following issues:
This diversion on Wolf Creek is located just inside the Malheur National Forest. Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) crew installed this project.
A rock diversion structure directs flow into the diversion. The diverted water flows through a head gate, down the ditch a short distance to the two section modular Farmers Screen unit. The screened water continues down the open ditch, while the cleaning water returns to Wolf Creek via a pipe. This screen has a maximum capacity of 4 CFS.
This project was a collaboration between the U.S. Forest Service, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife John Day Screen Shop, FCA, and the Van Drewsey Grazing Association.
