Introduction to FCA
Farmers Conservation Alliance
FCA is a 501c3 nonprofit social enterprise whose mission is to develop resource solutions for rural communities.
FCA began in 2005 when the Farmers Irrigation District of Hood River, Oregon licensed the Farmers Screen technology to FCA under the condition that FCA take the Farmers Screen to market, address institutional barriers to fish screens, and invest profits into other technologies and solutions that benefit both the environment and agriculture.
Based in Hood River, Oregon, FCA officially opened its doors in January 2006. Currently, FCA is working throughout the western United States. Within the next two years, FCA expects to be installing Farmers Screen both nationally and internationally.
